Saracens are pleased to announce that Matt West has been named as the club captain for this season with Paul Judkins as Vice Captain.
Westy has proved to be a very able and capable player and has earned the respect of his fellow players to succeed Rob Djemal in wearing the armband.
We are confident that Westy will follow Rob's example well in good organisation and leading the team onto more promotions.
Rob has done a fantastic job over the last few seasons as captain leading the team to 2 successive promotions, Rob now feels it is time to hand the armband over to Westy who he has played alongside and has total faith in, so Westy has some big boots to fill.
Once again congratulations to Westy and we wish him the best of luck this season. |
