The afternoons result didn't affect the mood of the Saracens Christmas night out. Almost everyone was there and there were no injuries and no one woke up in the police station so from what i can remember everyone had a smashing time. For more details see the match report Being a Junior cup game the competition rules state that Saracens V Westwell will now be taking place this coming Saturday, so our first league game against Watton-At-Stone has been postponed. |

Saracens are pleased to announce that Matt West has been named as the club captain for this season with Paul Judkins as Vice Captain. Westy has proved to be a very able and capable player and has earned the respect of his fellow players to succeed Rob Djemal in wearing the armband. We are confident that Westy will follow Rob's example well in good organisation and leading the team onto more promotions. Rob has done a fantastic job over the last few seasons as captain leading the team to 2 successive promotions, Rob now feels it is time to hand the armband over to Westy who he has played alongside and has total faith in, so Westy has some big boots to fill. Once again congratulations to Westy and we wish him the best of luck this season. |

Both Matt West & Matt Beech completed the 3 peaks challenge in just over 22 hours. This is indeed a remarkable achievement which not many people manage to achieve and is true testament to the fitness and character of both of these players for perservering through lack of sleep to complete the challenge in aid of a worth charity. |

Unfortunantly Saturdays friendly was called off. There was a game but with only 4 Saracens players available for selection the management decided to recrute some stand in players so we didnt let FC Rangers down and go for a kick about which we lost 4-0. |

Saracens are proud to announce that defenders Matt West and Matt Beech are taking part in The Three Peaks Challenge this coming Saturday. The National Three Peaks walk involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales. These are Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon. Different people will take different periods of time to do the 3 peaks. Those who are brave, noble, or just plain stupid, try to do all 3 within the space of 24 hours - The Three Peaks Challenge.
