This page outlines the clubs "Rules" & the clubs "Constitution" of which all players are expected to abide by.


SARACENS F.C. CLUB RULES

Discipline

1) Any player receiving a fine will have a letter sent to them, by Saracens FC, outlining their fine and payment details. Payment must be received by the club within 14 days of the date of this letter. Failure to do so will result in that player being excluded from the squad until payment is met and an extra £5 fine will be levied as admin charges.
2) Any player receiving a YELLOW card will receive a £5 club fine on top of the league fine.
3) Any player receiving a RED card will receive a £5 club fine on top of the league fine.
4) The accumulation of 10 disciplinary points will result in a £20 fine (Yellow card 1pt, Red card 3 pts).
5) Any player with outstanding fines after the final playing weekend of the season will be reported to the HERTS FA and placed on the 'Sin Die' list until payment is met.

Note

Disciplinary cards for descent are very much frowned upon and fines will be increased at the management's discretion.
Players unable to attend training/matches must inform a member of the management team 24 hours prior to training/matches failure to do so could result in a club fine, again at the management's discretion.

Kit & Equipment

1) Full Saracens FC kit must be worn for each game.
2) Players will be issued with their own socks.
3) Shirts and shorts must be handed back at the end of each game for washing, failure to do so will result in a £2 club fine. Any player who takes a shirt with them and loses it will have to pay £30 to have it replaced. (This includes numbering and sponsor printing)
4) Each player must pay £1 per game for the kit to be washed.
5) Any player who turns up to a match having forgotten their socks, shin pads etc will be issued with an immediate £3 club fine.
6) Any player who loses their socks will have to pay £3 to have them replaced.
7) Any player who loses a club training football will have to pay £6 to have it replaced (at management's discretion).


SARACENS F.C. CLUB CONSTITUTION


GUIDELINES FOR SARACENS F.C.

1) NAME -The Club shall be called the SARACENS FOOTBALL CLUB, and shall be affiliated to the HERTFORDSHIRE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION playing in the McMULLEN HERTFORD AND DISTRICT FOOTBALL LEAGUE.

2) OBJECTS - Its objects shall be to provide association football for its Members, and such social and recreative pursuits as may be deemed desirable by the Committee/Committees.

3) RULES AND REGULATIONS - The club members shall abide by the club rules at all times. All members shall be made aware of the club's code of conduct and expected to behave accordingly. The General Committee shall have the power to suspend or expel any Member deemed guilty of conduct which breaks the clubs rules, or prejudicial to the good name of the Club.

4) EQUITY STATEMENT - The club is opposed to discrimination of any form and will promote measures to prevent it, in whatever form, from being expressed. The club is committed to fairness in its dealings with all involved in the game.

5) OFFICERS - shall consist of the President, Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary and team managers. Vice Presidents shall be those people, and businesses, which have donated/served the Club in the previous/past season/seasons.

6) COMMITTEE - The Club shall be controlled by a General Committee, consisting of the Officers. The Committee shall meet regularly, with the proceedings at such meetings being duly recorded in a Minute Book.

7) POWERS OF THE COMMIITEE - The property and assets of the Club shall be vested in the General Committee.
The General Committee shall have the power to appoint such Sub-Committees as may from time to time be necessary, and shall receive reports and accounts of such subcommittees at its General Meetings. The General Committee shall have the power to fill such vacancies as may arise in its constitution between Annual General Meetings. The General Committee shall have the power to declare a seat vacant, should a Member absent himself from three consecutive meetings without a satisfactory explanation.

8) MEMBERSHIP OF THE COMMITTEE - shall consist of six (max.) playing or six non-playing Members (provided they are not on suspension). Candidates for election shall be proposed and seconded by a Club Member. A Member wishing to resign shall give notice of this, effective in writing, to the Secretary, such notice should include any payment of outstanding fines at that date.

9) CLUB MEMBERSHIP - The members of the club shall be those persons listed in the register of members, which shall be maintained by the secretary. Any person wishing to become a member must contact the secretary and fill in the appropriate application form(s). Election to membership shall be at the sole discretion of the club committee. Membership shall become effective upon applicant's name being entered in the register of members.

10) ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The Annual General Meeting shall be held not later than 30th June in each year. The Secretary shall give 21 days written notice of such meeting to all Members.
The Financial Statement and the Secretary's Report shall be received by the Meeting, which will also elect the Officers, and the General Committee, appoint auditors and transact any other business.

11) EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING - An Extraordinary General Meeting may be convened by the General Committee when deemed desirable.
The Secretary shall give seven dear days notice to all Members of such a Meeting, at which seven members shall form a quorum.

12) FINANCE - The General Committee shall cause proper books of account to be kept, which shall be approved yearly. Official receipts for all monies received shall be signed by the Treasurer. The General Committee shall authorize cheques to be signed by the Treasurer and two others. All monies taken/charged or collected at games/fund-raising of any sort shall be accountable to the Club's Treasurer. These monies will be used in accordance with the Club Committee instructions. Fines incurred by players during the season must be paid within twenty-one days of a written statement. Fines outstanding after this period are open to be increased at the General Committee's discretion. NO player will be allowed to sign for another Club until all outstanding fines are paid in full.
SUB-COMMILTEES must conform with these rules, with appropriate officers accountable to the General Committee.

13) ALTERATIONS TO THE CLUB RULES - No alteration to Club Rules shall be made except at the Annual General Meeting, or an Extraordinary Meeting convened for that purpose, and only if supported by 75% of those present voting at that Meeting. Notice of proposed alterations to the Rules must be given in writing to the Secretary by the end of April in each year, and notified to Members on notice of the Meeting.

14) OTHER BUSINESS - Any matters not governed by the foregoing rules shall be dealt with by the General Committee. Their decision shall be final and binding.
Note: It may be found necessary to amend or add to these rules to meet specific local circumstances.
